Iran Filmfest in Australia honors winners

Iranian Film Festival in Australia presents acclaim to winners in various categories.

The closing ceremony for the 7th edition of IFFA was held at Australian embassy in Tehran with the winners announced.

Ida Panahande's 'Israfil' has crowned as the Best Film of the festival while 'Subdued' by Hamid Nematollah grabbed the best director and Kourosh Tahami's performance in the flick won Special Mention for the Male Actor.

Hamed Behdad also bagged Best Actor award of the festival for his flawless performance in 'The Girl's House' directed by Shahram Shah-Hosseini.

Best Screenplay award has gone to Saeed Roustaee for Mohsen Gharaie's 'Blockage'.

Iranian Film Festival in Australia is the only nationwide Australian festival dedicated to Iranian cinema, forging cultural understanding between Iran and Australia.

The 7th edition of IFFA took place in November 2017 in some cities of Australia.
